• Have you recently or are you currently teaching or generally dealing with a student with a disability, health condition or injury?
• Did a student tell you they had a health condition that you know little about or do you suspect they may have a disability?
• Were you unsure how to deal with the situation and how to adjust your teaching and communication methods to support the student?
• Are you unsure what your rights and responsibilities are when working with students with a disability, health condition or injury?
The course provides a brief overview of the legislative requirements and staff responsibilities when working with students with a disability.
A UNE-specific handbook will be provided.
