Unconscious Potential
The changing global and workplace environment demands a new breed of manager and leader who is equipped with a better level of knowledge about how to make decisions, problem solve, relate to others, facilitate change and consistently perform at their best.

The Emerging Leader program will provide those who are new to leadership or aspire to Leadership positions with the insight, awareness and techniques to lead effectively.

Audience

This program is aimed at professional staff at classification levels HEO4 to HEO6 who have recently been appointed to a leadership role or aspire to a leadership role within the University.

Program Outline

1. Managing and Leading Self
2. Understanding Type – Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment and debrief
3. Time Management
4. Resilience
5. Leadership Styles
6. Effective Communications
7. Building and leading high performance teams

The program will be delivered in 2 x 1 day sessions and includes pre-program activity, activity between day 1 and day 2 and is compulsory for all workshop participants.

Participants can expect to:

 Gain an understanding of their personality type and their behaviours
 Learn about their natural strengths, work style and areas for development
 Gain an insight into the different personality types in their team
 Improve personal and team time management
 Enhance leadership capabilities
 Develop communication skills
 Apply key actions and principles to improve both individual and team productivity and create results
 Increase self-confidence.
