About this Seminar
Dr Shi Li will give his views on some key features of Chinese people and contemporary Chinese culture. In this seminar he will make suggestions for approaching Chinese culture and discuss his perspectives on:
• Contemporary Chinese culture from an anthropological perspective;
• The elements of communism that remain in modern China;
• The elements of traditional Chinese culture which work for and continue to be used by the Party State;
• The psychological and sociological features of contemporary Chinese people.
