Spring graduation ceremonies will take place this week, with approximately 600 students attending over the two days. Graduands from the Professions will receive their awards on Friday, while graduands from Arts and Science will receive theirs on Saturday.
Friday’s Occasional Address will be given by former Premier of South Australia, the Honourable Dean Brown, who will also receive an honorary Doctorate of Science. Dean Brown studied Rural Science at UNE, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Saturday’s Occasional Address will be given by Mr Peter Donovan, who will also receive an honorary doctorate. For over thirty years Mr Donovan has been a leading figure in the field of public or applied history.
The ceremonies on Friday and Saturday will commence at 10:30am on the Booloominbah lawns.
Special Event Parking will be established on the corner of Elm Ave & Trevenna Rd on Friday. Booloominbah Drive will be closed to general traffic from 7.00am till 2.00pm on both graduation days.
