UNE PARG researcher Dr Greg Falzon, along with colleagues Dr Guy Ballard and Paul Meek from NSW DPI Vertebrate Pest Group and the Invasive Animal CRC, are set to revolutionise the way farmers manage wild dog incursions, thanks to the recently announced $1M funding from Federal Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce.The Wild Dog Alert system brings together the latest developments in communications, remote camera traps and image recognition algorithms to assist farmers deal with wild dogs before they inflict damage on stock.
