At last! PARG gets a new home with the official opening of the new SMART Farm Innovation Centre on Monday. Perched atop a knoll on the university’s Sustainable Manageable Accessible Rural Technologies (SMART) Farm, the $2 million Innovation Centre will be home to numerous PARG researchers and students and boasts a lecture room with a farm-wide vista, and ‘Command Centre’ showcasing live data feeds from our many embedded and remote plant, animal and equipment sensors and ample open-plan workspace. And it’s all where it belongs too- on the farm! PARG will also retain its existing on-campus location.
