This unit looks at aspects that deal with life, writ large, and students undertaking this unit will develop the ability to present clear, coherent and persuasive legal arguments. Additionally, this unit will help students build and expand their critical thinking and legal research skills, all within the realm of complex biotechnology legal issues.

Prof. Perry started teaching biotechnology law 20 years ago in Canada after joining the University of Ontario (Western), bringing immense knowledge and experience that will, without a doubt, be highly beneficial to our #UNELaw students undertaking this unit.  

Additionally, Prof. Perry has been a primary investigator for many successful grant applications in Genomics, Computer Science, Law, and Agriculture, exceeding $18M in value, much of which was dedicated to biotechnology research. Prof. Perry has held many academic positions and leadership roles and has contributed to well over 100 papers, chapters and presentations in this area of law!
