A lot has happened with Project Uplift over the last few months – here is a quick update on the highlights.
Tranche 3 (T2 unit) uplift
The third tranche of the unit uplift, which covered all of the unit offered in Trimester 3 / 2024, was completed in June, with all units released to students on Monday, 17th June. While this completes the bulk of the uplift tasks, we are now planning Tranche 4, which will cover T3 units that have not previously gone through the uplift (eg units only offered every second year) as well as some other work, including a backlog of “opportunities” identified in units covered in tranche 1 – 3.
Video Systems
The technical workstream to consolidate UNE’s video systems into a single system (echoVideo) is close to completion. UNE’s engagement with Kaltura has ended, all videos have been migrated into the relevant echoVideo libraries and links in myLearn and Squiz to Kaltura content has been updated with the equivalent echoVideo links.
