What are the Learning Media Studios?
The Learning Media studios were built in partnership with UNE’s Audio Visual team, that are a professionally treated spaces designed to create the highest-quality media content. The studios have a range of different configurations from
- An all-inclusive experience, with guidance and support from our expert staff
- A ‘super user’ space for people across UNE with experience working in media studios
- A beginner-friendly DIY studio for basic media development.
What are the benefits?
These are dedicated media creation spaces, so they have been tweaked by media experts on all levels of audio and visuals. The studios are optimised for ease of use and efficiency, to help UNE staff create superior video content. They boast professional-grade microphones, green screens for background replacement, and feedback monitors – just to name a few. These spaces provide you the freedom to engage in multiple ways:
- Book in a time to co-create content with our media experts who can provide real-time feedback and guidance.
- If you’d rather fly solo, we can give you a quick induction and you can then drive things at your own pace.
A subsidiary benefit we’ve found when using the media studios is the dedicated distraction-free time to create the content you require. You don’t need to worry about software, hardware, lighting, microphones, ambient noises, or interruptions – time to just focus on your presentations.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. This is a service we offer for free to all UNE Staff to create higher-level presentation content for our students. We try to work at a time that suits you, but booking ahead is advised.

Good morning,
The records team is looking to produce online training material as both an induction piece (mandatory compliance for all staff) and as a revision as needed by staff.
Are the studios available for UNE Trainers?
Is there anyone who can assist with guidance on best practice. I have produced online material for a variety of organisations but it has been mostly about System use whilst this will be about general Records Management Compliance.
Any assistance/Guidance you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Ian Smith
Hi Ian – yes the studios can be used for all staff, you are welcome to contact the team per above to discuss media production. However if you are looking for guidance on the design and development of compliance training for staff, you may like to contact the Workforce Development team on od@une.edu.au, as they generally look after induction and other staff compliance training.
