There will be differences in CRDC’s R&D procurement round for the 2016-17 year: they will not be calling for Preliminary Research Proposals (PRPs) in July – instead, they are proposing to  engage with researchers in a different way to address industry identified R&D priorities. More information from CRDC is to follow.

In the meantime the following is an outline of CRDC activity for the year ahead.

February – CRDC Board meeting to determine successful 2015-16 R&D procurement round Final Research Proposals (FRPs). THIS IS HAPPENING AT UNE!

March – Preliminary advice provided to successful researchers (pending Ministerial approval) re 2015-16 R&D procurement round. Update on Rural R&D for Profit programme successes as well to be announced.

May – May progress reports due; Cotton Australia general meeting to discuss R&D; Successful projects for 2015-16 publicly released.

June – 2016-17 R&D procurement round opens.

August – Invites issued for 2016-17 FRPs

September – Final reports due.

October – FRPs for 2016-17 due

November – November progress reports due; Cotton Australia general meeting to review FRPs.
