UNE Business School are pleased to congratulate two of our exceptional staff members who were recently recognised in the 2016 UNE Awards for Teaching Excellence.

Kay HempsallMs Kay Hempsall was recognised in the category of Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning, receiving a certificate and $2,000 to support her professional development activities.

Kay is currently working on her PhD, exploring the question: “What are the main factors that influence leadership development thinking and practices in Australian universities?” and has recently been in the U.K. for the Developing Leadership Capacity Conference at Ashridge Management School.

 

Renato VillanoAssociate Professor Renato Villano has received the 2016 Award for Teaching Excellence, receiving a certificate and $5,000 to support professional development.

Rene teaches undergraduate and postgraduate units within the UNE Business School, a member of the Teaching and Learning Committee and the Course Coordinator for the Master of Economic and Regional Development Program. He is also part of the team supervising this year’s UNE Busines School 3 Minute Thesis winner, Ms Kara Tighe.
