7.30am Speaker Dr Shawn Leu, Senior Lecturer of Macroeconomics, UNE Business School

Dr. Shawn Leu completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Auckland, NZ and his MEc and PhD degrees at the University of Sydney. His research interests are in applied macroeconomics, open economy macroeconomics, monetary economics, and international finance. He previously taught at La Trobe University and has held visiting positions at the International Monetary Fund, Macquarie University, and University of Cincinnati.

7.45am Speaker Gavin Enfield, Account Director at Deloitte

Gavin is a Director at Deloitte with many years of experience, focusing on providing a high level of client service whilst specialising in practical tax advice and accounting services. Gavin regularly advises high wealth individuals, private businesses, small cap listed companies and other SME clients across a wide range of issues including: tax due diligence and tax structuring advice, tax consolidation, transfer / utilisation of tax losses, ATO tax audits & Tax Risk Management (TRM).

David is the Managing Partner of KPMG’s Western Sydney office based in Parramatta and a Tax Partner with KPMG’s Private Enterprise group in Sydney. David has over 25 years’ experience in advising private companies, family owned businesses and their shareholders in all aspects of growing and managing their businesses. David has thorough knowledge and understanding of the unique characteristics and issues affecting private and family groups.  He has extensive experience in equity succession, estate and exit planning, shareholder agreements, corporate governance policies, structuring advice, business and strategic planning, together with his traditional business advisory services.
