Assessment & Intensive Period 2 for Trimester 1 begins at the end of this month, and for many of you this means exam time. As you prepare, it’s crucial to have the best tools and most up to date information to help you succeed. Your upcoming Exam Workshop Suite has been put together to equip you with just that!
The Exam Workshop Suite is a series of three webinars designed to assist you in preparing for and managing your exams and results. Each session will be conducted via Zoom and can be accessed through your UNE101 Moodle unit. Here’s a quick overview of what you can expect from each workshop:
- Online Exams & Support – Wednesday 17th May, 3-4pm
The first workshop will focus on your exam set up, with information about ProctorU (your online exams provider), preparing your workspace, timetables, booking your exams, deadlines, required equipment, and support options both leading up to and during your exams. This session will be hosted by the Exams Team, and supported by the Student Accessibility & Wellbeing Office. SAWO will be providing information about accessibility and adjustments, should you need them, to ensure that you feel confident about the registration process, timelines and your ability to manage this component of your studies.
- Performing your best in Assessments: Study tips & techniques – Thursday 18th May, 3-4pm
In the second workshop, our Counselling & Psychological Services Team will be sharing helpful strategies to mentally and physically prepare yourself for the final assessment round. Your Academic Skills Office Team will provide further practical advice to best utilise your time, stay motivated, and make the most of the variety of templates and resources available to you as a UNE student.
- Accessing, Understanding & Managing your results – Wednesday 24th May, 3-4pm
Finally, the third workshop will teach you how to access, understand and manage your results. You’ll learn how to interpret your marks and feedback, tips for identifying areas of strength and weakness, and what your options are if you disagree with an outcome. This session will also cover essential information about progression requirements and any impact of results on your future enrolment (pre-requisites, co-requisites, if you’re awaiting waivers etc).
Each workshop is designed to be interactive and engaging, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and connect with staff and peers. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or just want to refine your existing skills, the Exam Workshop Suite is an excellent resource to help you succeed.
To access the Exam Workshop Webinars, all you’ll need to do is log into your UNE101 Moodle unit at the appropriate time. From there you’ll see the Zoom links in the top right corner of the page under ‘Events’. We look forward to seeing you there!
