The October long weekend is almost upon us, with Monday 3rd October a public holiday for NSW, ACT & SA. While many of you will take the opportunity to have a break, for those of you who continue life as normal, we want you to know what’s still open on campus and how to get in touch with UNE if you require support.
Here’s a list of which services are available and how you can get in touch with them over the long weekend:
Student Connect (AskUNE)
Available through AskUNE – please note that emails will be responded to on Tuesday 4th October.
Phone lines and chat will not be operating on Monday 3rd October.
International Services

IT Support
IT Support will be available throughout the long weekend!
Saturday – Monday: 9am-5pm

Dixson Library
The library will be open over the long weekend with the following hours:
Saturday 8am – 7pm, Sunday 8am – 7pm, Monday 9am – 5pm.
UNE Life
Please note that the following UNE Live services will be closed over the long weekend: UNELife, Booloominbah Café, Life Functions & Catering, The Shop, and Advocacy & Welfare.
The Belgrave Cinema will be open 9am – 10pm.
SportUNE will be open 8am – 2pm.
Wellness Centre
The Mental Health Support Line is available for you to access 24/7 over the long weekend.
