Next Thursday, 18th August, the UNE SMART Regional Incubator is hosting a showcase from 12:30PM – 2:30PM in the NOVA Building at 122 Faulkner Street, Armidale.

The UNE SMART Regional Incubator not only supports start-up companies to grow, but also fosters an environment that stimulates research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Researchers in Residence are UNE PhD candidates researching entrepreneurship and innovation related topics, supporting start-ups at the UNE SRI on how to access academic research.

At this event, the UNE SRI is showcasing three talented researchers to present their research and elaborate on the potential impact of their results to the start-up community:

  • Ed Lefley: PhD research on the topic of university, industry and government coauthorship and collaboration in NSW.
  • Zia Knorles: PhD research on the topic of regional founders accessing finance to grow their business – covering finance of any type, (grants, loans, equity, credit, crowdfunding etc).
  • Matthew Wysel: PhD research on the topic of datanomics – the creation, and management, of value from data.

A light lunch is provided at this event, please let us know of any dietary preferences.

Join this event and get inspired by the researchers and take the opportunity to network with the start-up companies in the building. This event is free of charge, and proudly funded by the NSW Government in partnership with Armidale Regional Council and UNE SRI. Please RSVP by the 18th August by registering your attendance on the event page, here
