The University has released information regarding the Brisbane lockdown and upcoming UNE Intensives/placements.
In response to the notification of locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in Brisbane, the NSW Government has issued notification of new COVID-19 close contact locations and guidance for travellers from Queensland.
If you have attended a close contact venue in Queensland or NSW, you are required to get tested and self-isolate for 14 days regardless of the result. Staff and students should not attend any University sites during this time.
If you have attended a casual contact site from Queensland, you are required to get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is received.
Trimester 1 Intensive schools are progressing as scheduled. If you are not affected by the restrictions, then please attend your scheduled intensive school.
If you are unable to travel to Armidale for a mandatory intensive school while the self-isolation requirement is in place, please submit an application for a Special Extension of Time: https://okt.to/BPVw6g Once your application is received and assessed, UNE will communicate arrangements for either an alternative to your intensive school or deferred intensive school.
If you are unable to travel for a placement due to the self-isolation restrictions, please contact your UNE placement office to discuss options.
If you are impacted by the restrictions and require other support please visit the Current Students webpage: https://okt.to/4g2Djw
