The UNE Indigenous Engagement Committee (UNEIEC) has distributed an experience survey to all students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. This survey closes on Sunday, 5th July!
If this sounds like you, you should have received an email on the 5th May titled “Your experience as an Indigenous Student” with your unique survey link. The survey is completely anonymous and completely voluntary.
What is the survey for?3
This survey can help us to understand how effective the University has been in assisting you to achieve your personal and/or professional aspirations. Your feedback will also help to determine how to better respond to student needs during a period of crisis.
We are seeking feedback regarding:
- your current situation in light of COVID-19, and the support you may need to continue your studies during these difficult and uncertain times
- your usual experience and perceptions of the academic programs and support provided by UNE
As a way to thank you for your time, you have the opportunity to go into the draw for some great prizes!
An analysis of survey results will be included in reports to the Vice-Chancellor and Academic Board, as well as being provided to relevant departments around the University. The results will establish a benchmark and help to inform the enhancement of University programs and activities to support, engage and respond to the needs of Indigenous students who study at UNE.

Hi Deb,
If you’re subscribed to the Insiders’ Guide blog for current student reminders, updates, tips and tricks then you will receive all emails of new posts. Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a way of selecting certain topics only.
We do try to ensure our blog titles provide clarity around the content, so please feel free to delete or ignore any that are not relevant to you personally!
Kindest regards,
