2019 China Study Tour with the UNE School of Law; Get your expression of interest in by the 30th of April!

In Trimester 3 2019, the UNE Law School will be offering students an exciting opportunity to participate in a 14 day China Study Program. 

The program provides students a fabulous opportunity to learn the Chinese legal system, to build international network, and to explore China’s rich history and culture.

The program introduces students to the Chinese legal system (both mainland and Hong Kong). In addition to classroom lectures and discussions, student’s learning experience will be enriched through a series of field trips, and professional visits including:

Prominent law firms in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong
Top Chinese law schools in Beijing, Shanghai, and Yantai
Australian Embassy in China
Field trips, professional visits, and cultural activities are subject to change and confirmation.

The program also includes memorable cultural activities. Students will visit the UNESCO world heritage sites such as the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City (Imperial Palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties) in Beijing. Students will also have the opportunity to explore major cultural attractions in Shanghai and Hong Kong, such as Yu Garden, local wet market and community centre in Shanghai, and Victoria Harbour, in Hong Kong.

Dates: 22 October 2019 – 5 November 2019
Estimated cost: AU $5,690 per person (sharing in a twin room), including international airfares (ex-Sydney), travel in country, most meals and all activities.
Travel Destinations: Beijing, Shanghai, Yantai, and Hong Kong

Eligibility: students in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs (on-campus and online). Undergraduate students must have completed 48 credit points by the end of T1 2019 receive permission from the Head of School. Postgraduate students must receive permissions from the Head of School to be enrolled in OSSE300 or OSSE500 unit and assessment will be undertaken during and after the trip.
