December Graduations have officially begun! Whether you graduate today, tomorrow or on Saturday; Here’s what you need to know
So today’s your graduation day? Congratulations!
It’s a big day, you’ve finished your course and you’re ready to receive your official documents and celebrate, perhaps with family or friends here too. Please keep an eye on the Ed UNE Facebook page throughout the day, as an announcement will be made there shortly to confirm whether the ceremony will take place outside, or indoors due to inclement weather.
Rest assured, the only thing that will be different either way will be the venue.
You will still graduate on the same day, at the same time, in the same order. Your seat number, allocated to you upon registration, will remain the same. There will be no restriction to your guest numbers. It’s all the same, the only difference will be whether you are seated in, and walk across the stage either on the lawns of Booloominbah, or in Lazenby Hall sheltered from any occurring or potential rain. We hope that this plan and knowledge alleviates any stress or worries you might have had.
If you’re uncertain about anything at any stage, there will be plenty of staff on hand to answer any questions you have, or point you in the right direction!
Briefly, the schedule for your day as a graduand should follow along with the times below;
2pm – Registration opens at clearly marked tables in the Northern Courtyard
3.45pm – Registration will close
4.15pm – Graduands must be seated, guests please be seated by this time also to ensure the ceremony can begin on time
4.30pm – Graduation Ceremony officially begins!
You can find the answers to any other last minute questions you might have here, or you can call (02) 6773 2000 and one of our friendly Student Central Team can help you out.
From all of the team here at UNE, we hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy celebrating your achievements!
1.30pm Update 13/12/2018: We have confirmation that today’s Graduation Ceremony (Thursday 13th December) will take place indoors in Lazenby Hall due to the high chance of rain and storms this afternoon.
