Youth Action: Armidale Young Social Entrepreneur’s Conference: register now

Youth Action has  partnered with Armidale Regional Council and The Frank Team to run Armidale’s first Young Social Entrepreneur’s Conference, a 1-day event for young people in Armidale to learn how to make a lasting change in their community. They’ll work in teams to develop a practical social business idea for Armidale and pitch their plan to a panel of judges.

EVENT DETAILS
When: 24 May 2018, 9:30am-3pm
Where: Armidale Town Hall (127 Rusden St)
Who: Anyone aged 12-25
Cost: FREE – (Morning tea and lunch provided)

This conference is for any young person who is interested in making Armidale a better place. It’s a unique opportunity to learn practical skills, be inspired to make social change using entrepreneurial ideas, and hear from successful entrepreneurs in Armidale.

Over the day the participants will:

  • Be inspired to create social change with entrepreneurial ideas
  • Develop practical skills in business, marketing, and entrepreneurship
  • Learn communication, problem-solving skills in a hands-on, team environment
  • Hear from local entrepreneurs that have built real businesses in Armidale
  • Connect with organisations (like UNE) that want to support young people in Armidale
  • See entrepreneurship as a potential career path.
