On campus students: Orientation 2018; what’s on this Tuesday 27 February

Published On February 26, 2018 | By Luke | Getting Started

Tomorrow is Lifesaver Day where you can about the things you can do and get involved with while you’re studying at UNE. It’s a pretty hectic day so make sure you take your time-chat to stallholders, clubs, students and businesses and get involved in everything you can. A university experience is not just about study!

Remember to download Actionbound and sign up for the Lifesaver Day Treasure Hunt, for your chance to win prizes (over 50 exhibitors had contributed to the prize pool, so it is well worth it!).

Lifesaver Day kicks off at 10AM in the Ingrid Moses Courtyard and Lazenby Hall.

Our orientation guides will be conducting campus tours every 30 mins (10.00, 10.30, 11.00, 11.30, 12.00, 12.30) to show you where you need to be for the rest of the week (and in particular, your academic programs). Meet at the Student Support Team Information Tent below the fountain outside Dixson Library.

After a free BBQ lunch in the Ingrid Moses Courtyard, our guides will direct you down to the Booloominbah Lawns for the Commencing Student Photo at 1pm (see above for last year’s photo).  You don’t want to miss this, it’s probably your only chance for a photo with every other on-campus commencing student.

The Sport UNE Olympiad takes place at 2pm at Sport UNE (be there in your college or Townie groups by 1:45pm)

If you identify as a mature student, the Mature Students’ Afternoon Tea will be held on the Booloominbah Lawns from 2pm.
