On Campus and Local Students: Churchill Scholarships information session; register to attend
The Churchill Fellowships offer fantastic opportunities for students to travel overseas to investigate issues that are of importance to regional and rural Australia. Every year around 100 Australians are awarded a Churchill Fellowship. These Fellowships offer people from all walks of life the chance to travel independently anywhere in the world to explore a topic or issue of their choice, which they are passionate about and that will benefit their industry, profession or community on a local, regional and/or national level. Importantly, applicants do not need any specific qualifications to apply, and there is considerable flexibility in terms of timing and duration, to suit individual needs.
In 2018, the Churchill Trust is making a concerted effort to encourage more applications from rural and regional Australia. As part of this effort, they are running an expanded program of Information Sessions in sixteen regional centres, including Armidale on Tuesday, March 6, starting at 5.30pm at the Armidale City Bowling Club. A significant number of sponsored Churchill Fellowships are also being offered, including fellowships specifically related to agriculture, health, education, the arts and community services.
