Looking for Your tutor? Try Studiosity, the same service, a different name; connect now through your Moodle Units
It’s 11PM, you’re stuck on a particular concept or referencing question, where do you turn? well, up until recently you turned to Your Tutor.
Now you can’t, because it’s not there anymore (wait, what?).
But don’t fret, Your Tutor has changed its name to Studiosity and given itself a snazzy new logo (see above), but it still offers the same services to students .
It is still an anonymous online support network that is free to all UNE students, that will help you with your pressing questions about your studies and allow you to continue on with your work.
Studiosity is a complement to the Academic Skills Office in order to provide more online academic support to UNE students. Access for the service is still through your unit sites in Moodle – look for either a clearly identified link or a block with the Studiosity Logo (see above).
There are still two types of service on offer:
- essay feedback: students can submit a draft for feedback with a guaranteed turnaround time of twenty-four hours;
- live chat: available from 3pm to midnight (Armidale time). Tutors provide generic feedback on aspects of academic writing such as grammar, referencing, structure and argument.
Subject specific help is also available at a foundation or first-year level. The subjects included for subject specific help are: mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, business studies, accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics and statistics.
