Oorala is hosting an exhibition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander paintings, works on paper, photographs, sculpture and weavings by practicing artists from across the region. The exhibition will include three bark paintings from the Milingimbi Island, Arnhem Land, which date back to the 1960s. These works by Tom Djawa, Samuel Lipundja and Djunmal were recently added to the Oorala Art Collection and are considered to be very fine examples of these highly respected Arnhem Land artists.

Alongside these will be other works from the UNE Collection such as watercolours from the Hermannsburg School, paintings from the Oorala Collection and artefacts from Earl Page College.

Opening night is Wednesday 18 October @ 5:30 pm, you can RSVP Tess at tcullen6@une.edu.au
