Online exams: let us know your thoughts; take part in the online survey by 9 October

It is almost exam time again and many are turning their thoughts to organising their lives to get to the exam venue on the day.

For around 1000 students, this might no longer be an issue.

They have been invited to sit their Trimester 2 exam online, supervised in real time, by a real person via a web cam, and in the comfort of their own home.

The added bonus is, they can also choose their preferred start time so they really can sit the exam when it suits them.  Of course, all the integrity considerations are in place but the exams team also hope to provide a whole new dimension of flexibility for students.

All going well, the exams team hope to offer online exams more widely in the future  and are wondering what your thoughts were. They are also offering you the chance to win  a $50.00 iTunes voucher for answering one simple question online:

Would you be interested in sitting your supervised exams online in future?

If you want to give us your view, go to and answer yes or no.  If you want to be in the draw for the iTunes voucher, don’t forget to leave your UNE email address.

The survey closes on 9 October and we will announce the winner of the iTunes voucher on 16 October.
