Never OK Day BBQ: Tuesday 22 Aug – Top Courtyard; take a stand against sexual harassment
Everyone has the right to live, study and work in a safe and supportive environment.
Sexual harassment and assault is Never OK.
Harassment and assault can happen on campus, in bars, on public transport or online. It can come from a complete stranger or from someone you know well. Most harassment and assault is unreported. Some people feel embarrassed, or think that they won’t be taken seriously.
UNESA in collaboration with the Australian Students Association aims to raise awareness of sexual harassment providing a framework of resources to students and hope to work with the university to bring change to the culture that leads towards sexual harassment and assault.
UNESA will be holding a BBQ on Tuesday the 22nd of August from 11am till 1pm in the top court yard outside CafeLife.
This will be an opportunity for all students on campus that day to engage with UNESA, sign a pledge, find information, or to seek help and advice from the Uni4Me advocates, Tom and Colin.
