From T1 2017, United Campus Bookshop will also run the Secondhand Bookshop (previously run by UNESA). The official statement is below:

Dear Students,

The University has recently undertaken and completed a tender process for the continuation of the bookshop service here at UNE. Based on wide consultation with both on-campus and off-campus students, the University has determined that the existing provider, ‘United Campus Bookshop’, will continue to operate the Bookshop on campus.

In addition, UCB will absorb responsibility for the existing secondhand bookshop that is currently operating out of the arcade. This secondhand bookshop will be relocated to UCB, next door to Dixon Library, and will act as a central hub for all UNE required texts and reading materials. Significant upgrades are being made to UCB infrastructure, including the development of online resources, to allow an improved service for students to source cheaper alternatives to required materials.

The University and UNE Life will continue to work with UCB to ensure a seamless transition to this new service, which will be operational for Trimester 1, 2017.

Regards,

David Schmude

Director UNE Life
