We would like to inform you about an upcoming scheduled IT maintenance for Technical Digital Services (TDS). This maintenance is essential to ensure the continued reliability and security of our TDS environment. 

 Maintenance Details: 

Date:  Saturday 21st December 

Time: 6:00am to 6:00pm (Duration: 12 hours) 

During this maintenance window, the TDS systems will be temporarily unavailable. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our services.  

Purpose of Maintenance: 

Software Updates: We will be applying necessary software updates to improve system performance and security. 

Database Optimisation: Database maintenance will be performed to ensure data integrity and system responsiveness. 

Security Enhancements: We will implement security patches to protect against potential vulnerabilities. 

Network upgrades: Between 7:00am and 4:00pm the UNE campus network will experience multiple network disruptions to the VPN with each disruption being up to 10 minutes in duration.  These disruptions will impact all users on campus connecting to the network remotely. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our services.  There is a risk of extended interruption to network connectivity during this time.  

 Action Required: 

Please inform all relevant team members about this scheduled maintenance to minimise disruption to your operations. 

Plan accordingly to accommodate the temporary unavailability of the TDS system during the maintenance period. 

For off-campus students: MyLearn and student email should NOT be affected, although the login may be impacted intermittently 

  •  No work is planned on MyLearn. However, we recommend that you download any materials (such as readings and lecture recordings) you require over the weekend to your local system to make sure you have access in case of any on-campus network outages or disruptions that affect connections to local systems. If access via MyUNE is not available, please access your units directly in MyLearn.     
  •  Student Email (Office365 emails @myune.edu.au) Should be available throughout the day, although there could be interruption to login.  

 

 We understand the importance of the TDS system for your operations and will make every effort to complete this maintenance as quickly and efficiently as possible.
