TDS has identified some issues with the operating systems on the university’s core networking infrastructure, these issues are causing some impact to campus services and has reduced the level of redundancy built into the core network. As such TDS must urgently upgrade the core networking infrastructure to ensure all services are operating and that UNE has full redundancy across our critical infrastructure. TDS engineers will be performing rolling upgrades across this infrastructure between 8:30pm and 11:30pm on Wednesday 23 October 2024, the upgrades will be undertaken with a mind to minimising impact on campus services.
It is expected that users on campus and staff connecting to UNE’s VPN from home may experience several network disruptions of 5 minutes in duration. All systems will be checked post upgrade to ensure all services are restored.
