TDS will be undertaking critical work to replace aged equipment that is causing a number of disruptions to our internet connectivity. Failure of this equipment would result in prolonged network outages if maintenance and replacement activity is not prioritised.
Work will commence at 7:30pm and be completed by 9:00pm on Friday 22nd September. Expected impact to services is hoped to be contained to 30 minutes each evening however longer outages may be experienced within the change window.
During the change window campus to internet connectivity and VPN connections to UNE will be impacted. No significant disruption to Moodle or other student facing services from off campus are expected, however may occur unexpectedly.
Whilst best efforts are being undertaken to minimise disruption to users whilst this work is performed there is always a risk that loss of access can be longer than the advertised 30 minutes.
