March desktop updates will be released today, Thursday 16 March, and set to install this evening after 17:30.
- If you leave your device on this evening/overnight the updates will install and the device will reboot automatically ready for use on Friday morning
- If you power off your device, you will be prompted to install the updates first thing Friday morning.
The early release is to address multiple critical securities flaws Microsoft have patched are in the new updates.
This deployment has been tested in line with standard monthly releases, however if you encounter issues as a result of this deployment please contact the Service Desk on ext 5000.
