Got your eyes on a position? How do you get involved?

Applications for 2020 SCC student representative positions close at 5pm March 25th, 2020. The application form linked below must be submitted to by this deadline. Late applications will not be considered. A copy of your resume may be included at your discretion.

You must be in a current 2020 teaching period or on an approved intermission to apply for any SCC position as a Student Representative. The term of Office for each appointment is 1 year, and will commence once elections have concluded.

What SCC positions are available for nomination?

  • Online student representatives (5)
  • Post-graduate representatives (2)
  • General representatives (4) (two Bachelor Degree and two Postgraduate representatives)
  • College representative (1)
  • Town representative (1)
  • Indigenous representative (1)
  • Pathways representative (1)

What happens next?

If more nominations are received than positions available, the returning officer will conduct an online ballot, as voted by the student body.

Due to the unprecedented impact of COVID-19, the election has been postponed until mid-May following concerns of student stress and wellbeing. Once the new election period has been decided, voting of student representatives will commence. From this point, votes will be counted, and successful student representative electees will be confirmed and inducted into the SCC.
