A reminder that there are still spaces available in the upcoming QuickSmart Literacy Refresher day, which takes place on the 4th of September 2024 (9am – 3.30pm NSW time)

The workshop will run online via the Zoom application and costs $150 (plus GST) per participant, with a maximum of 5 participants per school. Schools will be invoiced after the workshop.

Participants are required to have already completed their QS Literacy Basic Skills in a previous year. The school must also have an active QuickSmart licence.

The workshop is structured as a mix of presenter-led information sharing and participant-led discussion and feedback sessions. Agenda items include:

• QuickSmart Updates
• Revisiting the QuickSmart Theoretical Framework (key ideas and recent research)
• Short progress reports from schools
• Unpacking the QuickSmart Lesson Components
• The Portal and QuickSmart Basic Skills Assessor (QBSA)
• Student progress, QBSA and reporting student data
• Comprehension lessons in QuickSmart
• Creating QuickSmart Literacy lessons with a text of your choice
