Since the launch of the QuickSmart Basic Skills Assessor (QBSA) in February, the QuickSmart team has received a lot of very helpful feedback from schools, including understandable concerns from instructors regarding the switch from OZCAAS to QBSA.

These concerns have been taken on board by the team who felt that even though user guides were available for the QBSA, an informal transition guide was also needed to make the application switch easier for all QuickSmart Numeracy and/or Literacy schools.

The QBSA Transition Guide is now available to download from the “User Guides” section of the QuickSmart Portal menu. Here is a direct link to the guide: https://qso.une.edu.au/assets/media/instruction/qbsa-transition-guide-10.pdf

Please note that this guide is not relevant to new schools that have started QuickSmart Numeracy and/or Literacy in 2023, as they have only learned about QBSA and will never need to use OZCAAS. It is also not relevant to Catch-Up Numeracy, the Diagnostic Assessment, QuickSmart@Home, or Online Numeracy.

As always, please contact us if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support of QuickSmart.
