FREE QuickSmart Numeracy and Literacy OZCAAS Training/Refresher Session Details

As per our recent post, we are recommending that any schools still experiencing response time issues with QBSA to instead post-test their students with our previous assessment application, OZCAAS, if a report is required before the end of the year.

We will be running three sessions this week over Zoom. These are open to all QuickSmart instructors; there is no fee involved and no registration or RSVP required. Please just click the link at the desired times and join the session. The content for each session will be the same, however you are more than welcome to attend more than one if you feel you need to.

The sessions will comprise of a brief introduction and explanation of what has occurred with QBSA, how to set up users, how to run a lesson in OZCAAS, and then questions and answers if required.

Please note that these sessions will cover both the Numeracy and Literacy versions of OZCAAS. Most elements are similar, so there won’t be much “down time” if your particular program is not being discussed.

Please have OZCAAS already installed on your computer before the session.  The lesson will focus on using OZCAAS and we will not cover installation at all.  We recommend having OZCAAS installed on a different computer from your Zoom computer so you can follow along during the session.

To download and install OZCAAS, please scroll down the left-side menu to Private Area, click on “OZCAAS” and then click the download link in the green box. The install instructions are underneath the green box in the “Install OZCAAS” section. Please follow these carefully. When you open OZCAAS for the first time on your PC, it will ask for a password. The password to use is also in the green box. Please contact our IT Support (quicksmarthelp@une.edu.au / 02 6773 5061) if you require assistance with the install.

Session 1: Thursday 30th November

Times:

  • 10am – 11.30am (NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS time)
  • 30am – 11am (SA time)
  • 9am – 10.30am (QLD time)
  • 8.30am – 10am (NT time)
  • 7am – 8.30am (WA time)

  • 2pm – 3.30pm (NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS time)
  • 30pm – 3pm (SA time)
  • 1pm – 2.30pm (QLD time)
  • 12.30pm – 2pm (NT time)
  • 11am – 12.30pm (WA time)
