Over the past year, instructors may have noticed fewer “news” emails coming from QuickSmart, as all program updates and general communication are now put up on the QuickSmart Blog, which can be viewed on the home page of the QuickSmart Portal.

We encourage anyone involved in QuickSmart to subscribe to the blog, which means announcements will not be missed, as each post is sent directly to the subscriber’s email address.

Subscribers will only receive two or three of these updates each month, and while they may not all be relevant to everyone, it will give an opportunity to say “on top” of the latest news and developments from QuickSmart.

However, there may be occasions where we do need to contact schools within specific parameters, so a section has been added to the Portal where schools can nominate main contacts in four different roles: Principal, Executive and main Numeracy and/or Literacy coordinator. It is worth reviewing this section annually to make sure the details are all up to date.

Action Item 1: Subscribe to the QuickSmart blog (if you have not already done so)

Action Item 2: Update your school’s contact details (this can only be completed by someone in the Coordinator role or above)

  1. Log in to your QuickSmart Portal account
  2. Click on “Institutions” in the menu
  3. Click on “Edit Institution” (the pencil icon) on the far right
  4. Use the dropdown menus to select Executive, main Coordinators, etc.
    1. If the desired name does not appear in the dropdown menu, the user can be created via the “add user” option, accessed through the users button in the Institution list
  5. Click “update” on the bottom left of the page
