Congratulations to Dr Amy Moss, postdoctoral fellow in the School of Environmental and Rural Science, who won the NSW/ACT Regional Achievement & Community Award for Agricultural Innovation recently.

The Prime Super Agricultural Innovation Award acknowledges the spirit of innovation through application of technology or process improvement to demonstrably enhance production and increase efficiency, maximising returns along the value chain, particularly where that value flows back to the primary producer.

“Being selected as the winner for this award is an amazing recognition and acknowledgement of my research, and I really appreciate all of the support I’ve had from my mentors in research and industry along the way!” Amy said.

“I got this award for my research to improve poultry efficiency with whole grain feeding, the innovative methodologies I’ve used, and for installing the first precision feeding robotic technology for poultry research at an Australian university at UNE.”
