ICPA2014

Two PhD students received  ‘International Society of Precision Agriculture Outstanding Graduate Student Awards’ at the 12th International Conference of Precision Agriculture at Sacramento USA. UNE-PARG students Amy Cosy and Moshiur Rahman received their awards an hour ago. Both students are supervised by teams of staff from the Schools of S&T and ERS (each team comprising a minimum of 4 disciplines). Amy, who recently submitted her thesis, is working on PA tools to detect and map the risk of redheaded cockchafer beetle infestation in pastures, and Moshiur, who is two-thirds through his project, is working on the integration of PA sensors and plant growth models to predict growth rates in pastures.
