Heritage Seeds Research Manager Allen Newman demonstrating the Crop Circle pasture sensor to field day participants

David Lamb attended the Heritage Seeds field day at Howlong in the NSW Riverina region last week and demonstrated the future of precision livestock management to a mixed audience of 50 agronomists and leading growers. In addition to demonstrating the use of active optical sensors (eg Crop Circle) for pasture assessment, David also outlined the current status of livestock tracking technologies (GPS collars and radio-triangulation ear-tags).
