The New England Primary Care Research Network exists primarily to serve primary care health professionals who wish to do primary care research in the New England area. As we have grown up out of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of New England, there are several primary care academic researchers who use our services to help recruit research study participants. Our Chair, Professor Michelle Guppy and Strategic Advisory Committee members generously share their local research networks, and we work together with the Primary Health Network to facilitate relevant, rural and regional research in country New South Wales.
The services we provide include:
- engaging primary healthcare professionals in focus groups for co-design
- brain-storming research design
- assisting with Ethics applications
- disseminating study invitations to our network of primary care health professionals and academics
If you are a primary health care professional living in the New England area, and have a project that you would like to discuss or get help with, please contact the Network Coordinator on nepcrn@une.edu.au to arrange a time to discuss.
Please also send us the following:
- the name and contact details of the primary health care professional leading the project
- a 400-word abstract of your research project
- what you would like us to help you with
- the time-frames you want the help to be given in
Please note: If you want us to share your project with GPs, you will need to have a GP on your research team, and share their contact details with us.
