At the Library: April events (April FOOLS)

Happy April fools day! We hope you weren’t fooled by the Library Olympics post…. Although there were some signs that astute individuals may have picked up on. As much as we would love an in-house jumping castle, the Library doesn’t have a level 5 (dead giveaway there that the previous post was a hoax). A Librarian shush-off would be a dismal fail too, as Library staff love to see and hear the spaces being used by our students. Our Library staff (and clients) would also love trolley races and fairy floss en masse – our work health safety officers and administration team however, maybe not so much.

We DO however have a fabulous range of materials, services and library classes on offer to help you maximise your study and research, check out some of the offerings you can take advantage of during April (no kidding!):

Academic Skills Office HDR Seminar Sessions: Check out our previous Library blog post about these.

A whole range of Library classes, teaching you about everything from Endnote to locating information for your assignments.

Check out online videos about how to request materials to borrow – we send them to you for free!

Are you an online student located close to another University Library? You can join their library to use their spaces and borrow their materials under the ULANZ scheme.

Get in touch with us if we can help you in any way this April, or you have any suggestions for library services and activities – who knows, we may just be able to host a jumping castle at some point in the future! We can always dream!
