Just because you are no longer attending lectures, completing assignments, and chatting with friends about how horrible group work is doesn’t mean you are cut-off from using many resources UNE Library offers. UNE Library offers a range of services and facilities which are accessible for our alumni and the wider community.
As a recent or an older alumni, you can register to be a community borrower. It is easy and you will be able to borrow books from the collection and book study spaces for your use when visiting campus.
You are also able to attend many on-campus events run by the UNE Library. Many sessions on a variety of topics are run throughout the year in the Dixson Library or you may attend online via Zoom video conferencing. Keep an eye on this blog for the class schedule and contact us to let us know if you will be interested. Many recordings are also available on UNE Library’s Subject Guides.
There are also a number of open access resources and databases you can use to access information and research. We have collected a list for you (download Word document: UNELibrary_OpenResources_2019-twl41m).
And whilst you’re in the area you should definitely call into the Archives and Heritage Centre! The team there can take you through their extensive collection of historical material about the New England region and often have special exhibitions on display.
Dixson Library often hosts exhibitions and displays which have been specially curated from the UNE Collections that are open for anyone to enjoy while visiting the Library during our opening hours.
The Library team are always happy to help UNE Alumni and if you have further enquiries just ask at the front desk or contact us directly at (02 6773 2458). You can also follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook to find out more about what is happening at the Library.
