The top questions we get at the Library Helpdesk!

We asked our service desk staff what the most commonly asked questions were from students who called or visited us in-person. Take a look at the list below and see if your questions are answered. Do you have a burning question that isn’t answered here? Ask in the comments below!

1. How do I print/scan?

You can find a handy guide to Printing at UNE online. Printers are available in numerous locations around the library. Just ask out helpful desk staff if you need a hand finding one or using one.

2. Do you have this book/article? How do I search UNE Library?

Are you looking for a book? You can use the purple library search bar to find books, journal articles and much more! To access Search, visit the Library homepage and type your keywords into the search box

Videos on how to request a digitisation, or borrow a book from home are also available.

If you need further help, why not try using our chat service?

3. How do I book a room?

Do you need a study room? UNE students and staff can book study rooms in the library via the online form. Rooms can be booked for a maximum 4 hours.

4. What are my borrowing rights and terms?

Undergraduate students can borrow 20 items for 4 weeks. Postgraduate and staff can have 75 items for 13 weeks. Loans are now automatically renewed up to 5 times. Note that all loans can be recalled after 3 weeks if the item is recalled or placed on hold by another client. External students can also request digitisations or postal services via Search.

5. Can you help me with Endnote?

First, check out the Endnote guide we have compiled. There are a number of FAQs and videos you can watch to troubleshoot your query. If you still need help, you can book an appointment with one of our Librarians.
