The School of Law acknowledges the sad news of the passing of Bryan Pape, a Senior Lecturer with the School for 10 years between 2000-2010. Bryan made an enormous contribution to the School during his time as a staff member, both as a lecturer and through his commitment to establishing the Moot Court within the School. While his most lasting tangible legacy to the law lies in his challenge to the Rudd Government’s $900 taxpayer bonus in the High Court in 2009, his efforts for the School and for its students will long be remembered by those who worked with and were taught by him. The School and the wider legal community are the poorer for his passing. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
The School will pay tribute to Bryan more formally and fittingly in the near term.
