National Environmental Law Association, 2020 Essay Competition – closes 11 Dec 2020.

In this short video Dr Andrew Lawson  discusses a national essay competition that is perfect for students enrolled in LAW358/LLM558.

The National Environmental Law Association (NELA) is running an essay competition for any student – undergraduate or postgraduate – enrolled at an Australian tertiary institution. The competition is looking for essays of ‘high quality, cutting-edge scholarship on Australian environmental law and/or climate law’.

Submissions based on assignments submitted for law units (e.g. LAW358/LLM558 – Natural Resources Law) are eligible and encouraged. First prize includes $500, NELA membership and entry to a major NELA event, and the possibility of publication in a major Australian academic environmental journal.
