Dr Nengye Liu’s conference proposal “Conservation of Marine Living Resources in the Polar Regions, Science, Politics and Law” was recently accepted to be fully funded by Collaborative Innovation Centre for Territorial Sovereignty and Maritime Rights (CICTSMR), Wuhan University, China. The Conference will be held in Wuhan on 25-26 March 2017. Dr Nengye Liu will be co-organizing the Conference with colleagues from Wuhan University’s Research Institute of Environmental Law and China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies. A number of speakers from the Arctic University of Norway, the University of Tasmania, the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources, Antarctic Climate & Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre, WWF and the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea have already confirmed their availability to speak in the Conference. The Call for Papers is about to be launched globally.
