#UNELaw’s Associate Professor Ottavio Quirico has been awarded a prestigious Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship at the European University Institute’s Law Department.
He will also participate as a collaborator in the EU-financed LIFE-DICET project run by the European University Institute (EUI) Climate Unit of the Florence School of Regulation, as well as actively participate in the Carbon Market Policy Dialogue. You can find out more about LIFE-DICET at https://lifedicetproject.eui.eu/
Ottavio has recently participated in a meeting on climate sustainability with the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Participants included Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz, and the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment, David Boyd. Ottavio’s intervention focused on the idea of a ‘fundamental right to a sustainable climate’.
Congratulations Associate Professor Ottavio Quirico.
Congratulations Ottavio, well deserved!
Yes to sustainable climate ( and life) should be a fundamental right ( which is also controversial anyway)
Congrats and best wishes Prof Ottavio, for pushing the most urgent need of the society.
