Asia Pacific co-management of land and natural resources was the focus of this webinar: “An Analysis of Laws and Practices of Indigenous People’s Land” held by National Chengchi University, Taiwan; University of the Philippines; and, UNE’s First Peoples Rights and Law Centre.
Jointly Sisiolo is a #UNELaw PhD student. His presentation was on law and public policy impacts on forestry management and logging in the Solomon Islands. His research finds solutions to how these resources can be more sustainably managed. There were a number of presenters from the Asia Pacific Region, but we think Jointly’s was one of the best. Well done, Jointly.
His PhD is co-supervised by UNE’s Dr Andrew Lawson and Associate Professor Guy Charlton.
Dr Andrew Lawson is Deputy Director of UNE’s Australian Centre of Agriculture and Law.
Associate Professor Guy Charlton is the Director of UNE’s First Peoples Rights and Law Centre.
