UNE School of Law prizes are awarded annually to students for outstanding academic performance. The School of Law recently announced the following students as the 2017 prize recipients:

Ceratha Orreal – Roberts & Morrow Prize in Principals of Corporations Law

Tracey Hollingworth – Roberts & Morrow Prize in Principles of Taxation Law

Vivek Nemane – Bob Hughes Prize for Law

Tarryn Yates – R J Johnson Prize

Nicholas Barber – A Rose Memorial Prize

Elita Bird – Bryan Pape Prize

Melanie Brockway – NSW Bar Association Ethics Prize

Fiona Tom – NSW Bar Association Evidence and Proof Prize

Kimberley Hall – NSW Bar Association Human Rights Prize

Natasha Hamblin – NSW Bar Association Indigenous Australians and the Law Prize

Darren Cash – The LexisNexis Prize for Introduction to Property Law I

Jennifer Clements – The LexisNexis Prize for Introduction to Property Law II

“Thank you for the Bob Hughes Prize for Law. If you would, please extend my thanks to those who recommended and approved my name. It was a surprise. The prize would always remind me of the personal contribution of Bob Hughes and the vision he had for the UNE School of Law. I think I will be using the prize money to attend an academic workshop (and for publication) in the near future.”
