Dr Nengye Liu’s project “The European Union and the Conservation of Marine Living Resources in Antarctica” was recently selected to be fully funded by the Annual Grant Program of the EU Centre for Global Affairs, University of Adelaide. This one year project will examine the EU’s role in the conservation of Antarctic marine living resources in the era of climate change. Moreover, it would provide policy suggestions regarding how to enhance EU-Australia cooperation in Antarctic governance. A crucial amount of funding (AUD 5,103) will enable Dr Nengye Liu to conduct interviews with policy makers in Canberra and Hobart in the second half of 2016. The EU Centre for Global Affairs is one of five EU Centres in Australia, co-funded by the European Union and the University of Adelaide.
